Land-Atmosphere Interactions in Mountain Watersheds

We investigate how snow is redistributed by wind and its fate in tree canopies, focusing on sublimation, melting, and snow bombs. These processes play a critical role in mountain hydrology and water availability downstream.

Ecohydrology and Vegetation Responses

Our group studies how vegetation responds to changing hydrological conditions, including drought, snowpack shifts, and extreme events like heatwaves.

AI-Enabled Hydrologic and Hydrometeorological Modeling

We develop and apply physics-based and machine learning models to understand watershed processes, including snowmelt, evapotranspiration, and runoff dynamics.
